I believe that since you only live once, live life to the fullest. That’s what I do! Yesterday 3 friends and I went ceramic making in El Cerrito, CA. It was one of my friends birthday and she has always wanted to go clay making like in the movie Ghost, to bad it was all ladies (LoL). The place we went to is called Play with Clay.
This was my first time doing an ceramic class and who knew it would be a 3 step process to make my creation. First you make whatever you want out of clay and decorate it. Then 3 weeks later you come back to glaze it and you come back a week later to pick it up. It’s a long process, but I know it’s worth it. Our class was 3 hours long, which is enough time to make 2 to 3 clay creations. I decided to make 2, an ice cream bowl and a cup.
Here are 5 things you should know before jumping right into a clay making class.
1. Wear something that is comfortable and you don’t care if it gets dirty.
2. Go at a time where your nails aren’t done. The clay gets all in your nails and is really messy.
3. Go with a group of friends! Our instructor said 4 is the perfect number because she can easily help everyone.
4. Get some ideas of what you want to make before hand. I knew I wanted to make a ice cream bowl.
5. Make sure you wear a head scarf, hat, or tie your hair up. The clay gets messy.
Have a great day! I had so much fun, let me know if you ever go. Here’s some pictures from yesterday.
My Ice Cream Bowl
Just another Fancydime Friday! This week has been very long so it’s time for me to take myself to Happy Hour. I woke up this morning and put on this sexy but work friendly black dress to run errands in and meet up with my friends later to get drinks. This dress is from Ideel (I believe it’s sold out, but they have many other options). It is very comfortable, the material is mesh like. The dress is sheer but has a slip under it. I am wearing a size 3X and spanx panties with this, just to hold everything in. I think every gal needs a pair no matter what size. I simply paired this all black dress with my heels from ROSS (similar from DSW) and some San Fran street jewelry. It’s always great to get a bargin and support street vendors. Everyone needs a black dress in their closet especially one you can wear to work all the way to happy hour.
I hope you have a beautiful weekend. Remember that Curvaceous and Plus Size Women are TOP of the line and nothing less, Always, 2SNAPS to that!

GooGoo Atkins is a wardrobe stylist, creative director, and TV personality, but she is best known for styling her two sisters Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell from the hit gospel group Mary Mary. I began to really get to know GooGoo from We’s TV show Mary Mary. I fell in love with her fun & loving personality. A plus is that she’s a confident plus size women just like me. Last year I had the opportunity to meet her in LA, she is so nice.
Since I began working on Garnerstyle&Co with the stylish and chic plus size blogger Chastity from Garnerstyle, it has taught me a lot, my followers and the world need to see curvy girls dressing outside of the norm and being confident doing it! Yasss we are doing it in the world. Yesterday Go premiered “Goo Ru Style” the name of her show on Youtube. She is sharing tips on what to wear to certain places, how you can still look cute and sexy on a budget, how you can work with what you have in your closet, and how to style your outfits. Go’s YouTube show from We TV will be 8 episodes for tthis season. I just watched and I’m looking forward to the next episode. Click here to check “GooRu Style” out.
Let me know how you liked it.
When I use to wear a skirt below my knee it meant you were going to church, but nowadays it’s a trendier chic look. This is what we call a Midi Skirt. Midi Skirts are below the knee, about the knee, or a pencil like skirt. Usually it fits tight and form fitting, but can be a flare skirt too. I have fallen in love with midi skirts especially the form fitting and flare looks.
This past Labor Day weekend, I had a BBQ at Lake Merritt in Oakland with some of my friends. It was such great weather and I had to bring out my cute AVA&VIV skirt, which I call my “color binding midi skirt”. The skirt is a midrise patterned print. This skirt comes in sizes 14W-26W. I’m wearing a size 20W, which is a good fit. It’s very comfortable and has a zipper in the back of it. It could be worn to work, a day of shopping, a date, or just an everyday look. I paired it was a white tee and my Lane Bryant denim jacket (this item is completely sold out), threw on some accessories from one of the San Fran’s street vendors and my flats from Nordstrom Rack.
I truly was BBQ ready and felt so comfortable. Hope you loved my “color binding midi skirt” outfit as much as I did. Remember that Plus Size and Curvaceous women are TOP of the line, nothing less, ALWAYS 2SNAPS to that!

Thank goodness it’s Wednesday! This means the week is almost over and the can’t come faster. I just woke up and wanted to throw on something quick and easy. ThisMynt1792 jumpsuit is what I pulled out the closet. I paired it with a jean vest and wedges from ROSS. Also I threw in this cute pink sparkle purse with the outfit. It’s from Ashley Stewart. Hope you enjoyed my outfit of the day.
Have a beautiful week.
